WHY CLIENTS CHOOSE US

What distinguishes our approach

Malaysian law, applied clearly

Work grounded in Malaysian contract law, with an understanding of how provisions translate across common-law contexts relevant to cross-border dealings.

Plain explanations alongside every clause

Every mark-up and draft comes with notes in plain language. You should understand what each provision does before you sign.

Pace that fits your review cycle

Turnaround times are agreed at the start and adjusted to match your own internal review cadence — not rushed in ways that create oversight.

Defined scope, no creep

Scope is set at the outset with transparent boundaries. You know what you are receiving before the engagement begins.

Commercial, not merely technical

Legal work is informed by commercial reality. Advice identifies what matters in practice, not just what is permissible in theory.

Confidentiality as a matter of course

All client matters are handled with full professional confidentiality. No engagement details leave the firm.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What clients often ask

What types of contracts do you handle?
Most commercial agreements — services contracts, NDAs, supply agreements, distribution arrangements, licences, shareholder and joint venture agreements, employment terms, and settlement deeds. If the matter requires specialist expertise outside this range, we will say so at the enquiry stage.
How long does a typical drafting engagement take?
For a single instrument, the initial draft is typically delivered within two to three weeks of the intake call. Revisions follow your review schedule. For framework and playbook work, delivery is spread over six to ten weeks with working sessions at a pace that allows genuine engagement from your side.
Are fees fixed or hourly?
Both options are available depending on the nature of the work. For discrete drafting mandates the fee is fixed from the outset. For review and negotiation support, hourly or fixed-fee arrangements are agreed based on the client's preference and the scope boundaries set at the start.
Do you advise on cross-border or international contracts?
We work on agreements with foreign parties and understand how Malaysian provisions translate in common-law counterpart jurisdictions. For matters requiring local counsel in another jurisdiction, we can assist with coordinating that relationship.
What do I need to prepare before the first consultation?
A brief written description of the commercial arrangement and the parties involved is sufficient to begin. If you are seeking a review, attach the draft you have received. We will confirm the scope and fee at or shortly after the initial call.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. All client communications and documents are treated as strictly confidential as a matter of professional obligation. Nothing relating to your engagement is shared with any third party without your consent.
